YOUTH GROUP MEETING DATES
Commitment To Youth
We believe that teens are not the future of the church--they are a big part of God's plan for the present of the church. We are committed to developing Christ followers early in their Christian walk "that they may not stray from it."
Worship and Fellowship
Our youth group meets bi-monthly to discuss topics important to teens and what the Bible can teach us about those topics. There is a time for games/activities, service planning, and conversations to help build meaningful relationships with each other. We enjoy events outside of our regular youth group meetings such as campfires, kayak/canoe trips, bowling and more. We also seek to integrate our youth in our regular Sunday morning worship services. Being a part of the church at large is an important part of a young faith journey.
Service
We believe it is important for the youth of the church to be involved in helping the church do its ministry and in helping its members through life. Teens are encouraged to do this regularly through Super Sale, Turkey Dinner, VBS and more. The youth also sponsor the Annual Trunk or Treat for children in our community.
Mission
Missions are different from service because the focus is to make the name of Jesus known through our actions. While we have not been able to travel in recent years, the youth have participated in church Mission Hub workdays where we organize flood buckets or hygiene kits to send to communities in need. We look forward to more opportunities in the future.
